Objects not indexed that should be. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a DR pool that is showing 6 users that should be indexed that are not. The main pool is fine with no abandoned or non indexed users. Originally the DR pool was showing 19 non indexed users, but after running a manual address book update it went down to 6. Curious if because it's the DR pool this is expected behavior or if there is a way to view the users not indexed? We have failed over to the DR pool in the past for testing, not sure if that would cause the problem. It definitely caused the user backup service errors but that's been resolved with the conflict corrector tool.

    Thank you.

  • Hi mercenarygod,

Which Lync environment in your organization? Could you please simple describe your topology?
Do you mean you have 19 users in the main pool, and after updating the address book, you could only find 6 users?

For this issue, I suggest you could try to follow the steps below to check it:
    1. In the SFB control panel, check whether enabled all the users that should be enabled.
    2. Run the following command to get the users who are enabled in the SFB: get-csuser | select-object name, if the user numbers are not correct, you need to run the command: Update-CsUserDatabase
    3. After this, please update the address book again, run the command to sync the database and FileShare: Update-CsAddressBook
    4. Delete all the caches in the SFB/Lync client, check whether this issue has been fixed.
