  • Hi,

Are you a delegate of the otherr mailbox? Perhaps you have permissions to create new objects but not to delete them. Plaese ask the owner of the mailbox to check your permissions.

  • Hi Sidbelle,

Please verify if you have permission on shared calendar. Perhaps your permission is moved by other.

Besides, please try to create a new appointment in the shared calendar to test the issue again.

  • Hello Sidbelle,

    Try the following....

    1. Delete the appointment in OWA

    2. Give yourself either "ownership" permission to the calendar or mailbox and try deleting in outlook.

    3. If still existing please log into outlook as a user who has owner permission to the mailbox and then delete from the calendar.

    4. If "absolutely" stuck use MFCMAPI to remove the item http://www.activedir.org/Articles/tabid/54/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/50/Default.aspx

I really dont think this scenario would need step 4 but I listed it just in case.

    Kind Regards

  • Same issue. We had a terminated employee that has set up a private meeting. I set myself as a delegate for their account and had to open up their calendar on the Outlook Web App. It wouldn't work on the desktop app. But in OWA I could open and cancel it.

  • The first 3 didn't work for me. I even tried giving the owner of the other calendar owner rights to my calendar, and vice-versa. No luck.

This is such a Microsoft problem to have.
