App-V link between application packages RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I contact with you finding a possible solution to my app-v environment. I had virtualized individually every corportate application, and I am having problems to comunicate the applications between them. For example, when I try to call Excel from Sap logon, the sap logon program said that he can't find Excel at the system. I linked  the Office package with Sap package with SftDynSuite but I couldn't solve my problem.

  • Please have a look here:

Also you could try downloading the free Dynamic Suiting Composition Tool. If you run a debug with DSC to the app can you see the other app? Ensure you have set the DSC correctly. The tool can help you with that.

  • Is Excel a dependency in the SAP OSD? Also, you may be encountering a symptom of what is known as DSC retrofitting. For example, if Excel as not installed on the system when you sequenced SAP, it may not have registered the presence of Excel. Even if you have correctly linked the two together using the DSC tool, you still could have problems.
