migration from MIIS to FIM RRS feed

  • Question

  • We use MIIS to exchange GAL in other AD forests.

We have lots of rule extension for MIIS which is made by other software vendor.

We plan to change MIIS to FIM in the future.

Now we have already FIM server in our AD other than working MIIS.

How can I export setting or rule extension of MIIS to FIM ?

  • Check the upgrade path how to move from MIIS / ILM to FIM. Basically you can reuse your rules extensions but you have to rebuild the code in x64. If that went well you can move deploy your dlls and configuration to FIM.

  • Here's some helpfull information on the migration you're planning:

In contradiction to what Moritz is saying below: you don't need to rebuild the code. You can still run your dll's in 32bit-mode. But: I would recommend rebuilding it in 64bit to run nativally and possibly faster.

    Best regards,
    Pieter.
