Email alias can't log into lync


  • At my company we use lync and works fine for most everyone. There is a group of them that uses an alias email address as their primary email. But Lync has never worked right for this group. When this group logs in, they will get an error message of wrong username, password, or domain. I verify the password is correct. I ran a program that configures the office suite on each computer. This was able to help some people but not everyone. I checked AD and everyone has their sip address as the alias and the primary SMTP as their alias. But they still get this error message. Anything else I can try? 

    We use office 2010 with microsoft hosting our servers. We use lync 2010, version 4.0.7577. These are all windows 7 64 bit. Thanks for the help
