Export EFS certificate in system recovery

  • Suddenly, my Windows Server 2008 R2 doesn't boot properly. It always boot to system recovery. I can't even access the safe mode. I tried all suggestions in this forum and they don't work.

The drive is still accessible and I have backup-ed most of the files. However, some files are encrypted with EFS and I just realize that I didn't backup the EFS certificate. In the command console, I tried to use runas to execute cipher /x , but it always return "1060: The specified service does not exist as an installed service." (actually it returns the same no matter what command I try to run). I also tried to run MMS but it can't open

Is there any chance for me to export the EFS key now? Thank you!
