  • Hi  experts i am using exchange hybrid environment.

    one of the external user. abc@gmail.com has sent an email to my office365 user. i can see that the mail has hit the email gateway. the email is genuine, i can also see that email is routed to edge transport server on email gateway but the office365 user did not receive the email. i am not sure how to troubleshoot, where to look

    • Make sure that the Office 365 mailbox is represented as a remote mailbox in on-premises Exchange. 
    • Make sure that the RemoteRoutingAddress property has an address of the form something@tenantname.mail.onmicrosoft.com. 
    • Make sure that same address exists as an E-mail address in EmailAddresses.

    Agree with above suggestions.

    First, you need to confirm with sender that whether gets a NDR message. If yes, let the sender send the NDR message to you, and post it here.

    If no NDR, please check message trace & quarantine in your office 365, details see:

    Message trace in the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center

    Manage quarantined messages and files as an administrator in Office 365
