Using JS to create a project... RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to know if it's possible to use a JS to check every hour if a file has been imported into a directory, open it to capture key meta data, and use that information to then create a new project by selecting one of 3 EPTs.

And if so, with MS's habit of making changes, would you recommend creating that solution?

I think I can do this using Excel VBA but think it's a little retro.

    Many thanks

  • Hello,

  • Hi there,

May I ask the reason of using the JS?

For one of my customer, We have used a workflow that reads the file from directory and uses the Project Online services in WF to create the project. Hope that helps.
