Guidelines to upgrade existing inhouse PKI solution to latest version of PKI solution supporting SHA2 algo RRS feed

  • Question

  • Current infrastructure uses SHA1 PKI based solution for all it's internal systems. Customer is looking to upgrade to the latest PKI solution which supports SHA 2 hashing algo as SHA1 will be de supported soon. And hence I would like to know what is the approach Microsoft suggest here and what are the guidelines need to follow before going for an upgrading. Any constraint on the environment or application which will not support SHA 2 algo. Please note the certificate is consumes by desktop auth, Mobile auth, smart card, server certificate also..

and also kindly let me know the managed PKI based solution Microsoft offers to its existing customers.
