    Is there any Citrix Management Pack available ? I have heard that Citrix has stopped providing MP for SCOM ?

    Hi Aman,

    Leon and Cyril are correct here - Citrix has discontinued the following MPs:

    • Citrix SCOM Management Pack for XenApp and XenDesktop
    • Citirx SCOM Management pack for Provisioning services
    • Citrix SCOM Management pack for Store Front

    This means that the rest of the MPs are still there and can be used:

    Citrix SCOM Management Packs

    What you need to consider is that you can make your XAXD environment "monitored" again. I have blogged about the workaround here:

    Hi,

    Yes the official Citrix management packs are reaching End-of-Life as per the official announcement here:

    There is a company called GripMatix that has a SCOM management pack for Citrix, more info here:

    It's still mostly functionnal and I believe it's still available for download, but it won't be updated anymore indeed.

     There are only a few alternatives. GripMatix is one. They seem to be a new company providing monitoring for some of the Citrix stack. Dashboards look good – but seem to require the SquaredUp product separately.

    The other alternative I found is the Citrix SCOM Management Pack by eG Innovations. Seems a more complete product and covers other technologies (VMware, Nutanix, cloud), besides just Citrix. These seem to be the only options if you want to stick to SCOM as your main console.

    There is no need for Squared Up to use this MP. However GripMatix have created a community Squared Up dashboard pack for their SCOM Management Pack.

    eG Innovations SCOM MP is a bridge between eG Innovations and SCOM. Therefore you will have to install the eG Innovations monitoring solution as well (eG Management Server, Database, eG Agents). eG Innovations will do the monitoring. Not SCOM.

    Like eG Innovations, SCOM is able to monitor the full stack. 

    • For VMware you can use the Veeam, OpsLogix or Nice VMmare SCOM MPs.
    • For Nutanix the HYCU Nutanix MP.
    • For Cloud monitoring all sorts of SCOM MPs exist, e.g.: AWS SCOM MP and Azure SCOM MP
    • etc
