KB3095113 - is this still relevant or has it been superseded? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Trying to install KB3095113 & KB3159706 on a WSUS 6.2 installation on Server 2012 R2. I keep getting a message saying that the update is not applicable. I also get this for many of the supporting updates. I saw this which suggests that it has indeed been replaced. I am unable to install this particular  rollup, presumably because I have the later rollup patch installed for August, KB4034681.

There doesn't seem to be any official information on this.

    Thanks

    Xav

You do not need to install that updates if you have installed 2017-8 security monthly rollup .

In addition , you mentioned it is WSUS 6.2 , but the server is 2012R2 .

    AFAIK , 2012R2 wsus is 6.3 .

    Best Regards,

    Elton

  • Apologies, yes you're right, wrong version.

It's good to have the confirmation, I just don't understand why there hasn't been an official notice on this given the fuss that has been made over it in the past.

To be crystal clear before I go ahead, there will be no Windows 10 Upgrade issues assuming the latest rollup hotfix is applied to Server 2012 R2?

    Much appreciated.
