Overtime Check-Box Tasks Screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are running in Single Entry-Mode with option 'The timesheet will use standard Overtime and Non-Billable time tracking' switched OFF. We see that in the Timesheet screen this is nicely dimmed out, but in the Tasks screen this is still enabled. We know that we should force users to use the Timesheet entry screen, but with a workforce spread out over the world mistakes are being made.

It seems senseless to us that this option is still enabled if we do not want to track Overtime. Is there anyone else that do not want to track overtime that is seeing this issue as well?

Yes, I can confirm the behavior you are seeing.  If if the Overtime and Non-Billable time entry options are disabled on the Timesheet page, the Overtime Work option is NOT disabled on the Tasks page.  This seems like a design oversight for the Single Entry Mode option.  The only workaround would be to make this a training and performance issue with your team members.  Teach them NOT to use the Overtime Work option on the Tasks page, or better still, not to use the Tasks page at all.  Hope this helps.
