  • Fim 2010 R2 password registration portal  allow users to enter white space but get error like "The password that you entered is incorrect. You must enter the correct password in order to register for Password Reset. (Error 3006)"

    Using default regular expression ^.{4,}$

    is there any option to reject white space like duplicate answers notification?

  • Hi,

    You can use a regular expression in which you're specifying the allowed chars. (include list)

    Example:

       "^[a-zA-Z0-9.@\-_ #]*$"

    By doing this, you're avoiding also future issues with other special chars.
    This is not usable if you want to support all possible unicode characters (UTF-16) in your passwords.
    (use http://www.regular-expressions.info/unicode.html for that)
