Vista Business x32 SP2 Wininit log entry does not show up immediately in Management Console Windows Application Log after reboot. RRS feed

  • After scheduling a disk check (select start - computer - local disk c - properties - tools tab - error checking check now button - enable automatically fix file system errors only - schedule disk check) and rebooting, the results of the startup disk check can be viewed in the Computer Management Console - system tools - event viewer - windows logs - application - source column entry named wininit.  Now after scheduling a disk check and rebooting the wininit entry doesn't show up until the next day or even later.  Wininit should consistently show up with the results of the disk scan immediately after reboot.  My thanks to anyone who can resolve this.
