Outlook Clients unable to connect to Exchange 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Outlook is unable to connect to exchange 2010.

This had been working for about 2 years and broke last week for some reason.

I had been trying to setup activesync in our enviroment when it broke.

We still have full functioning mail via OWA and all mail is flowing in and out of exchange nothing is stacking up in any ques and public folders are accessiable via OWA.

Outlook says it connets then get disconnected immediately.

the RPC service is running. Not sure what else to try at this point. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Server 2008 R2x64 Exchange 2010 SP1 Update 4

Clients are XP SP3 and 7 Running outlook 2007

We have a single exchange server running domain as two DCs one 08 and one 03 running at 2003 functional level.

  • I updated to Ru4v2 and it works now.

Though curious As I was looking through the settings on ADSIEdit a majority of the users have a legacydn pointing to"First Administrative Group" I have since removed this group.

Should I just leave this legacydn?

I also noted updating an old users legacydn with that to match a newer users legacydn leaves the user unable to authenticate to the exchange mailbox using outlook.

Any light you would be able to shed on this?
