SharePoint Analysis Server Filter Web Part Default Value RRS feed

    When attempting to configure the Analysis Services Filter Web Part, I need the default value to be dynamic based on current date.  The SSRS Report that is connected to the filter is not allowed to display until a value has been entered therefore rendering the report default value useless, and the web part's default value is apparently not allowed to be defined dynamically in the web part itself.  So how does one define dynamic default values?

    Hi, has your research brought any results yest as to how this might be solved?

    I have a client with the same needs, except that the Analysis Services Filter Web Part is connected to an Excel Services report.

    We would like to use an MDX expression to define the default value dynamically (set default to last month), but it seems this is not possible. Do we have to switch to using PerformancePoint Services and time intelligence filters for example..?

    This issue continues to delay a solution deployment and we have not found a suitable workaround.  We've attempted embedded parameters, with poor results due to the awkward inflexible implementation of SSRS parameters (parameter window on right side of report viewer cannot be changed).  Attempted to use native Reporting Services URL to bypass Integrated Mode which will place the Parameter window on top, but our SSRS is unsecured (HTTP), which causes a browser warning to pop up.  For such a basic need (filtering analysis services reports), the parameters implementation is severely lacking.
