Hunt Group - Calls to external users (non Lync users) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We have a requirement with Lync where we have an IVR configured, and one of the hunt groups for the options needs to include an external cell number for a user that is not part of the organisation. I am not sure what is the best way to achieve this? Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

  • Hi,ferrari,

Would you please try to modify the queue configuration to set the call action to "Forwarding to telephone number" after queue is time out.I have tested on my lab to simulate this scenario with fowarding call to a virtual cell phone when call a RGS,if the RGS didn't response to the call and time is out it will transfer to the cell phone number.

  • Hi,

forwading a call from RGS to an external number will not work. there's no option in RGS to do that. if you configure it to transfer to an internal user and then forward it from that point, it will not work.

  • Hi Thamara, thanks for yoru reply.

So is there any option/configuration to get a call to go to an external number? Is it possible to set up a Lync enabled user in AD that has their calls forwarded to the external mobile number?

    Thanks,

    Daniel
