Logitech keyboard K350 and mouse M510 won't let computer sleep RRS feed

  • Question

  • In device management, all devices including networking cards, in Power option, are marked not to wake computer from sleep. In system tasks, everything is marked not to wake computer from sleep. When the sleep button on the keyboard is depressed the computer goes to sleep and can only be awakened by depressing the tower console's on/off button lightly. But I want to use the sleep and wake capability of the new keyboard. In device management I now set the the keyboard to wake the computer from sleep. No other changes are made. But when the keyboard sleep button is depressed the computer powers down and then restarts immediately. The keyboard power option allowing the keyboard to wake the the computer means the computer cannot sleep at all. Event Viewer, current log, power troubleshooting, identifies waking device after sleep as USB root hub. Both keyboard and mouse are controlled by a USB dongle. The Logitech keyboard and mouse are new items. Logitech says to ask Microsoft for a fix, but Microsoft doesn't seem to have one. This appears to be a cop-out from the manufacturer of the devices, Logitech. Solutions?
