  • Question

  • I E on my desktop version 11, windows 10. when I open internet explorer the identity bar shows www.msn.com/pc=eupp.  It runs poorly for a few seconds. Then another window opens which says something like pcsupportagent and a guy's face pops up with a headset on his head saying "I understand you are having problems with...  would you like to download... You cannot close out. You have to disconnect your session to get your pc back. I cannot use internet explorer now as this has taken it over. I can, however, use google. Are you able to help me?  earl.letz@ssisells.com

  • Hi,

You have been infected with malware...

    see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/microsoft-technical-support-scam/146fb3af-612a-4b89-8551-c00b447cdd16

    You could try

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions". (restart your computer for the full changes to take effect).

If you are using a company computer, then your system administrators or company help desk will be able to assist you.
