Write your own include? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are trying to write a custom repository for IAG and would like to include a file that has some logic. For example, we have a file called "custom.inc" in "InternalSite\inc\CustomUpdate". We have created a respository of type "other" in the IAG config.

    We are trying to include a file in "custom.inc" like this:

    <!--#include virtual="InternalSite/inc/OurFolder/ourFunctions.inc"-->

    I have tried this from login.asp and it works. When I try to do this inside of our custom repository file, it fails.

    Any ideas? I can't think of any reasons why this isn't working.

    Thanks!

  • Bryan,

    Instead of using the standard ASP #include directive, try using the Include function defined in the IAG code. Try something like this:

    Include "/InternalSite/Inc/CustomUpdate/OurFunctions.inc"

    Note that your files should normally not reside in a folder like /InternalSite/inc/OurFolder/, as you mentioned above, since such a folder is not backed up/exported by default. All your customizations should be placed in CustomUpdate folders.
