Security and Compliance Center alerts classified as spam RRS feed

  • Question

  • This is not really a question, more advice and request for MS to work on the spam filters in Exchange Online. We set up alerts in the security and compliance centre to tell us when new email forwarding rules were created. Unfortunately for us, we were subject to a breach on one of our users account credentials and the attacker used these credentials to set up an email forwarding rule. We should have been notified, but the Microsoft generated alert from the security and compliance centre was intercepted and put into our spam folders by the Microsoft Exchange Online spam filters!

We've sorted this for ourselves by marking the email address as safe, but this is a design failure that needs rectifying.

    Thanks,

    Matt.
