Changing Primary DNS Entry via Group Policy

    Question

  • We experienced network problems on a subnet where my main domain controller existed so I created a new physical domain controller on a different subnet. This new DC is to be the primary DNS server for all servers (about 300 Win2012R2 servers).

Rather than visiting each of the 300 servers to change the DNS settings manually, I wanted to automate the process as much as possible. How would you recommend that I proceed?  GPO or script?

I still see that the GPO option hasn't been updated for OSs past XP.  Configuration\Policies\Admin Templates\Network\DNS Client\DNS Servers

    Your advice?

    Thanks
