Problem with right clic, send to mail opens wrong mail-editor (tobit-david instead of outlook 2016) RRS feed

    Hello, 

    Client uses Outlook 2016 with Windows 10 and a second Mailprogramm called Tobit David. (it uses also mapi)

    Under Standard Programms / Email = Outlook

    Under Stardard Programms per Protocol , mailto = Outlook

    Start / Run / mailto:info@contoso.com  (outook opens a new mail)

    Problem / but:

    Adobe Reader - > sending the PDF as Mailattachment on the right  (Tobit David opens a new mail)

    right clic on a PDF File on the desktop ->  send to mail programm - (Tobit David opens a new mail)

    Outlook 2016 was installed first, then tobit david. (message regards "primary mail programm were confirmed with no)

    Do you have Idea how to solve this problem?

    Repair-Install of Office 2016 OEM Clic and Run wasn´t  done yet.

    Hi,

    What's the default mail programs? Please check this via Control Pane> Default Programs > Set your default programs. Select Outlook as the default program for Mail.

    If issue continues, we could click "Choose Default apps by protocol". Scroll down to found MailTo Protocol and set the default app to Outlook.
