  • Hi,

If you're installing DPM on a Domain Controller (DC), you will have to manually create the MSDPMTrustedMachines local group, along with a few others.

You will have to create it by using the Active Directory Users and Computers tool, then head to the Domain > Builtin folder.

Once created, you'll need to add the local machine account, to do that follow the procedure below:

    1. Open the MSDPMTrustedMachines group and click Add.

    2. Next window click on Object Types.

    3. Now make sure to select the Computers object.

    4. Now search for your Domain Controller by typing it's name, then click Check Names and then OK.

You should now have your local computer object in the MSDPMTrustedMachines group.
