DNS resolution in the Wireless Hosted Network not working

Question
-
Good evening, all,
I'm trying to set up my laptop as a SoftAP using Windows 7's Wireless Hosted Networking system. I have been able to set up the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter and use ICS to connect it to my Internet connection. From my Jelly Bean Android phone, I can connect to sites on the Internet using their IP addresses. However, regular URLs don't work, suggesting that DNS isn't working.
What I've tried:
- I've rebooted, reset, reconfigured and refreshed everything, including the Internet-facing device in Windows 7, the Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter and my phone;
- I have manually set the IPv4 DNS servers in the MS Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's public DNS servers) and the DNS servers that my Internet-facing device uses; and
- I have read all of the documentation that I can find on MSDN and Google.
Other information:
- My Android phone is not rooted, so I cannot set the DNS servers automatically. I will not root my phone as an experiment because I don't want to wipe all of the information from it;
- My computer connects directly to the internet. That is, it doesn not connect through another access point or router. It connects to my modem through an Ethernet cable;
- There are no other devices in my network;
- Windows Firewall is the only firewall on my computer AND it's set to the default settings; and
- Output of ipconfig /all:

(NOTE above: I mangled IP addresses to variants of ABCD for some privacy. Assume that they are otherwise valid)
I'd be very grateful to anyone who could help me with the rest of the configuration.

Thank you for the response, Niki,
I'm afraid that I don't quite understand the instructions. There is no seperate wireless router or an internal DNS server; only the laptop, modem and my phone. Are you suggesting that I need to set my laptop up as a DNS server? Can I do that in Windows 7 Pro? I've used the phone to test the ICS connection. I can access pages using IP addresses but not URLs because there's no DNS resolution.
