Unable to edit the Status column in SharePoint 40 fab template Service Request. RRS feed

  • I am working on the Service Request template of SharePoint , which is one of the 40 fab template.

    Here, in the Service Request list, i want to edit the option mentioned under "Status" column which i could not.

    So, please guide me on this.

  • When you say that you "could not" edit the column , what exactly do you mean?  Were you denied the permissions, were you unable to find it or so on?  If you can clear this up for us, we can help you accordingly.

  • I have full control on this list, but when i navigate to the list setting page to add few more option in that column, i didn't found any dropdown list under Status column page.

  • Have you access to the site settings?  I'd take a look to see if it's in the site columns / site content types.

  • The following is the snap shot all the possible ways I have tried to update the “Status “ field in Service request with few other options.

    1)

    Settings-> “Column “section->Status

    2)

    Settings->”Content Type” section->Service Request->”Column” section->Status

    When I click on the “Edit column in new Window”, I get the below window.

    4) Even under, Site column section under Site Action-> Site Settings, I could found 2-3 Status field but not the one which is reflecting in the Service Request list.

    Inshort, I am not able to add more option of my choice under Status column.
