Task Approval showing incorrect information RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are using Project Server 2010, SEM. The resource books Actual hours in the timesheet only. Recently one of our PM saw 184 tasks pending for Approval. But when the Approval center was opened, she couldn't see any pending approvals neither an error was shown on the screen. The resource associated with that project had timesheets approved. But the actual work did not reflect in the project even after publishing it.

The resource then recalled the timesheet and re-submitted it. Only after that the Status Manager was able to see the task in the approval center.

    Now how this happened?

  • hello amig

Project is working as expected.  It is the project manager (status manager) who must approve hours before they are moved into project schedule.  The resource manager (timesheet manager ) approves timesheets.  These are two different functions and flow of data.

    cheers!

  • Hey Michael,

I agree with you but we have a different workflow. We have elliminated the Resource Managers for approving the timesheets. Only the Status Manager Approves the task and the Actual work gets reflected in the Project after publishing it.

Hope u have understood now what my problem is?
