How can we get this changed so the project accurately reflects holidays by location? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Many of our resources in Project 2010 have a Standard Calendar and they should have the calendar based on their location.  We try to change their calendar and it reverts back to the standard calendar.  How can we get this changed so the project accurately reflects holidays by location?

  • Hi Ankit--

When you have resource working from many locations, Are you mainintaing the data in PS2010 using the lookup/custom fields? Create new calendar for each location & while setting up the resource account, set the base calendar for the resource.

    For more info:

For each resource that you enter, Project creates individual resource calendars based on the settings in the Standard calendar. You can modify those calendars by clicking Change Working Time on the General tab of the Resource Information dialog box. You can also create and assign resource calendars for individual resources or resource groups to indicate specific working hours. For example, you can assign a resource to the swing shift or night shift. You can edit the resources' calendars to indicate such as vacations and leaves of absence.

    Hope this helps.
