Password Expiration notification for Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have reviewed workarounds for the Windows 7 password expiration notification and I am still looking for a way to make it more similar to how Windows XP handled the expiration notification.  I have a client who does not want the e-mail notifications and also does not want a VB script running on log in.  Are there any other options to modify the group policy or even local policies to make the password expiration warning more noticeable when the user logs into the PC?

  • The only related policy is:

Interactive logon Prompt user to change password before expiration Security Configuration Editor

It cannot disable the notification but you can change the days to 0 or 1 so that the notification will appear as late as they can.

No other ways to disable the notification.
