  • I am unable to open Internet Explorer on laptop. Keep receiving error message " The instruction at 0xe28f0078 referenced memory at 0xe28f0078. The memory could not be written. Could you please help me with this issue.

    Its one of your IE Addons....

    Fist, reboot your computer to clear any IE errors... and hung tabs.

    Start>Control Panel>Internet Options>Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".

    General tab, make 'about:blank' your only homepage setting.

    Start should start with a blank page.

     The instruction at 0xe28f0078 referenced memory at 0xe28f0078 occurs on BEX errors..when one of your addons tries to access your personal data...

    Check with your addon vendors websites (eg. ) for updates for their products or (recommended) uninstall them from your computer... Modern versions of IE include built-in popup blockers, Search Providers, form filling and Phishing filters... there is really no need for third-party addons any more.

    To enable your addons again reverse the setting above...

    Post consumer questions about IE to (Help>Online Support menu from IE). Include with your questions links to any websites you are having issues with...In your case include your homepage settings...
