Reference image unable to Process Rules at Bootstrap - unable to identify anomaly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I am trying this again because I received no responses to my last post. I have seen a few other posts of this and the solutions they provided have not helped my situation.

    This is what I am looking at. I checked the BDD.log and this was what pulled up:

    **Full disclosure I pulled these pictures from another post because they match my issues. I use a system called Secure Host Baseline (SHB) to run my windows deployment which makes my rules very long and convoluted. Being that my MDT is on a secure network **I can't copy over information unless I type it by hand**

    I have checked to make sure I have no repeating "[Default]" or "[Settings]" throughout my rules. I confirmed that it is calling out the correct task sequence. I have verified everything that I can think of. All I am trying to do is build a WIM file for my Reference image to call out for my deployment build. So, this MDT is getting stuck in a virtual machine....

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Here is my customsettings.ini

  • Please Re-validate the Custom/Bootstrap.ini files!

    You have also used the same parameters in both files which is supposed to be add only i Bootrap.ini as well don't forget to completely regenerate the boot image.

    UserDomain=SCSPNETOPS01
    UserID=MDT
    UserPassword= *REDACTED*

  • I removed the identified text from the customsettings.ini regenerated the boot image, even created a new reference build media, still stuck at the same spot when loading the iso file into a VM.

    Unless I am missing something, what do you mean by re-validate the ini files?

  • I have just presented you an example where you missed, Try to check the variables used and structure something is missing.

    That's why re validate each parameters

    Priority=MACADDRESS,Default

    Check this link for help!

  • I appreciate the help so far, I came to this post because I have gone over this script numerous times and I can't seem to find the anomaly or anomalies, either by looking over it or a lack of knowledge of what I am looking for (probably the latter).

    I also removed the MACADDRESS requirement from the Priority - no change.

    Any help is appreciated if someone can identified what is causing the complication.

  • Hi, Check this link

    Check the Custom.ini files

    For testing use only that mentioned parameters and update the boot image to check the results. later on you can add more values if its works for you.

  • I used the example in the link you provided and modified my custom/bootstrap.ini to mimick theirs using my own information and it still gets stuck at processing rules. I followed all steps before regenerating my image, still no dice.
