Distribution Point Upgrade Status is "Failed (network timeout)" RRS feed

  • Hello,

    we have a sccm 2007 and we are migrating to 2012 with side by side strategy.

    so i upgraded a lot of distribution point to sccm 2012. but today isnt working.

    when i tried to migrate a distribution point to 2012, i got an error said that "Failed (network timeout)".

    there isnt any firewall or permission policy. im using an account that domain admin.

    i can access to DP with ping or telnet any port.

    i look log files but i couldnt any information about this issue.

    so what can i do now ?

  • Is this issue resolved? If not what do you see in the migmctrl.log?

  • If it's still not resolved please try to look into migctrl and distmgr.log. Are you upgrading BDP or standard DP?

    I migrated from sccm 2007 to 2012. then I started migrating the boundaries and DPs.

    I had the same problem when one day I just shut down the old server.

    After I turned it on, the DPs migration was back again.
