Deploy Folder Layout setting for specific folders

    Question

  • Is there a way to deploy a folder view (layout) setting for a specific folder or folders via GPO or logon script for Windows 2012R2?

For example, we deploy a desktop shortcut to a network folder, and when users click the shortcut to open the folder, they should get a "Large icons" view applied for that folder only.

The view settings for specific folders are stored in the registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell, so perhaps one option is to set the folder view for a user and then export the necessary keys and import them for every user with logon script, but how to track down exactly which keys are needed for this specific folder and just for the view layout?
