Call Ends If Answered Too Quickly RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having a strange issue on my OCS 2007 R2 Deployment. For an EV enabled user, when the toast pops up from MOC for an incoming call and the user clicks the toast very quickly (after 1 ring), MOC ends the call. If the very same originator of the call dials, but the end user lets MOC ring say 3 or more times the call connects correctly.

This only happens with and inbound calls to a MOC client. A debug trace on my Mediation server shows no errors.

    Our setup is as follows:
    PSTN + Avaya AES --> Avaya SIP --> OCS 2007 R2 Mediation --> OCS 2007 EE-FE (2 nodes) --> MOC Client.

    Any ideas?

  • Which endpoint or server does the logs show ending the call?  If you havent already you might try to log the error on the mediation, FE, and client.  Then we can look and see who or what is terminating the call.

  • I ran two traces on my MOC client and the only difference is the BYE at the end of the call (Numbers changed for privacy purposes)

    Working:
IN Ack MOC FROM:+01234567890(PSTN) TO:+09876543210(MOC Tel URI)
OUT BYE FROM:+09876543210(MOC Tel URI) TO:+01234567890(PSTN)
    OUT SIP/2.0 200 OK

    Broken:
IN Ack MOC FROM:+01234567890(PSTN) TO:+09876543210(MOC Tel URI)
IN BYE MOC FROM:+01234567890(PSTN) TO:+09876543210(MOC Tel URI)
    OUT SIP/2.0 200 OK

  • Hi,

    1. Please try to disable Media Bypass to test the issue.
    2. Please check all required ports are allowed on Edge, EF and Medation Server. Here is a resolved case for your reference. It is reversed with your issue.

  • Looks like your media gateway is terminating the call?  I'm assuming thats what you are calling PSNT.  Can you trace on that device and find out why it sends the BYE?
