    We have MIM 2016 SP1 build 4.4.1749.0 installed, Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2010.  DL Management in the Portal works fine. A user can request to join a DL, MIM creates the Approval Request and emails the Owner with the default approve/reject email.  Approving the request also results in the MIM service completing the process and sending the appropriate emails. However, when the user 'joins' a DL using the Outlook Add-In, the Request email is sent to the MIM Service inbox which MIM Service processes and sends an email back to the requestor using the Mail Listener response template.  However, the user wasn't added to the group and the 'owner' was not sent an approval email.  More than likely because nothing happened in the request queue, i.e. no request to join a group, no create approval etc.  Any Ideas??

  • Found it!

    In our Dev environment the DL I was testing against didn't have an email address or Alias.  Once this was corrected and synced to the Exchange Forest it all burst into life.
