why is the win 7 interface so obtuse? RRS feed

  • nothing works like the winner XP.

    1 where is ipconfig?

    2 where is CMD?

    3 where are the directories on the drive

  • Well certainly havent seen this before;

    1. ipconfig - still works the same as previous XP versions from the Command Prompt. See below

    2. CMD - easily accessed from the Start Menu search function, or in the standard location within the Windows\system32 directory. Some times it is required to Right Click and select Run as Administrator to get CMD to run in Administrator mode.

    3. Which directories are you talking about? 

    Documents and Settings -> C:\Users
    Program Data - Contains similar information found in All Users folder.

    There arent too many directory differences that a Windows Admin wouldnt be able to fathom out easily
