KB2581464 patch RRS feed

  • Question

  • KB2581464is a hotfix released for windows USB driver, which can enhance the max transfer size from 64KB to 2MB.

Then we tried other thumb driver like kinston, the transfer size can achieve 2MB successfully. But the strange thing is,lots of thumb disk still had the transfer size 64KB even we use like 256KB, 512KB chunk size test in IOmeter. And this is also be proved by Lecroy analyzer.

from the bus trace, the two device discriptor has no different, only the SCSI command's transfer length is different, one data transfer length is 64KB, another can achieve 2MB. so why can't some of thumb disk support larger than 64KB chunk? i can't find the difference.
