  • Jean did you provision a new PWA site or did you restored existing databases please?

  • Jean

Provide more details on what you did up to the point of failure.  Dumping a huge error logs means nothing without the details that lead up to the point.

    Cheers!

Please help me out, I am using serviceapp - Project service app-create pwa site

correction: I can create pwa site for port 80 site but not for any other new web application, i even added the managed path pwa with explicit inclusion

  • I know this is an old thread but I have found what I beleive may be a solution the above issue, I was unprovisioning and reprovisioning our PWA instance so that we could move to a DNS based database server which helps with our disaster recovery process.

When trying to reprovision the PWA site (or even create a new site) I received the error:

"String was not recognized as a valid Boolean."

After much pain and strife I found the problem to be the username that the create project web app site automatically populated into the administrator box, although it was the right username I had to delete it and reselect it using the directory, once I had reselected the account it allowed me to create the PWA site with no issues.

    hope this helps someone.

  • Hi Colin,

The error you mentioned was a side effect of the SP1 + June 2011 CU, the app would add a proceeding space in front of the name. Applying the August 2011 CU onwards fixes that error upon site provisioning.
