Activation Windows 7 RRS feed

  • As a Computer Forensics student we are able to download software from Dream Spark. I downloaded a copy of Windows 7 to use on my virtual machine. I originally installed it without the product key. Now, I'm trying to use the key to validate the copy of Windows. Using your tool for the report it says the grace period has ended. is there anything I can do short of purchasing a key?  Report is below:

  • Hi,

    It looks that cannot active Windows 7 Pro after grace period expired.

    Please try to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone):
    1) Click Start, and in the Search box type:   slui.exe  4
    2) Next press the 'ENTER' key
    3) Select your 'Country' from the list.
    4) Choose the 'Phone Activation' option.
    5) Stay on the phone (do not respond to any of the automated prompts) and wait for a person to help you with activation.
    6) Explain your issue clearly to the support person.

  • There are also 4 file mismatch. I am unsure of how to resolve that in a VM.
