Windows Server 2016 and SfB2015 deployments RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi I was trying to get more information on if this article is still valid. Would like to know if it's safe to migrate since Exchange CU3 has cleared usage of .NET 4.6.2.

  • exactly steven, Offical update or post is not yet released from MS on this.

If you want to give it a try , do update us the behaviour else we can wait for  confirmation from MS

  • Hi Steven,

    Welcome to our forum.

We could not find any official document about whether .Net 4.6.2 is available for SFB 2015.

However, in my option, you could install it for SFB 2015 on Windows server 2016, because it is available on Exchange 2016 CU3. If there are any issues when you deploy SFB 2015, please be free to let us know.

Thanks for your understanding and support.

    Best Regard,
    Jim Xu

  • Right, fingers crossed. Seem's you have to slipstream the SfB updates to the installer if you want a "workaround-free" experience. Other than that hope Microsoft posts an official update on the .net 4.6.1/2 hold-off.
