Hyper v Cluster RRS feed

  • Dear All

    Want to desing a 7 node and 6 node hyper v cluster , all vm's will distribute among these cluster nodes and in case of a failure of 1 node others should take care, is it ok to do this, any limittation on this solution

    And in this scenario of 6 node cluster i want o put 3 nodes in the DR site, will the same will work?

  • Sounds like the 7 node cluster is a pretty standard configuration using a majority node set because of the odd number of nodes.  Your 6 node cluster with 3 nodes local and 3 nodes remote will need to be deployed as a multi-site cluster.  If you want automatic failover to occur to your DR site, you will have to deploy a Node and File Share Majority quorum, with the file share witness in a 3rd location.  These article explains how to configure a node and file share majority quorum and how to configure a multi-site hyper-v cluster.
