  • Please help tried to update AMi and Nvidia drives get errors WindowsUpdate_8024402C and WindowsUpdate_80070103.

  • It's ALWAYS preferable to download your drivers directly from the vendor rather than updating them through Windows update.

    Windows update only install the basic drivers for your device.

    You best bet to download Windows 7 compatibility driver from the product manufacturer website.

  • Hi Tazmain.

    A driver should be updated only if the new version is highly recommended because it fixes serious problems and/or provide new or improved features.
    You should rely on Windows Update to upgrade drivers if and only if a more recent version of the drivers is not available on the drivers developers' site or if you cannot find a driver for a specific device without asking Windows Update to look for it: the recommended best practice is to manually update a driver using the instructions provided by the driver's developer.
