How to create new project from existing Project Professional file RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I am already having project professional file but now wanted to created new project in server. How to do this?

    You need to publish the project in order for it to show up in the Project Center.  The error dialog you saw is warning you that you cannot make permanent changes to an enterprise view.  It has nothing to do with why you cannot see the project in the Project Center page.  Hope this helps.

    Launch Microsoft Project and connect to Project Server.  Click File > New and then click the icon named New From Existing Project.  Select the existing project and click the Open button.  Clean up the project so that it is ready to be saved as a new project, such as removing notes, setting % Complete to 0%, etc.  Click File > Save As, give the new project a name and save it in Project Server.  Hope

  • Hi Dale,

    Thanks for your response. I followed the same but not the newly created project not shown in project center. And when clicked save "Edits will not be saved" alert box showed. Any suggestions?
