High CPU usage around 30+ percent on IDLE RRS feed

  • Question

  • Im not sure why it is this high. Here is a link to the etl file, https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=B87369E1A467291!3623&authkey=!AOvSw1MOurJBP_s there are 2 of them because I first used the actual command and then the second time I used the application that records. I also have a picture in the link that shows a missing driver if someone could help me out with that :), the device just says unknown device, and im not sure how to figure it out :/, I think it could be the USB 3.0 port that I have? Cause I tried installing the drivers for that but it never actually did anything, never ran. Thanks a lot for the help!

windows 8, Asus ux32vd with custom ssd Samsung ssd 840 series and 8 gigs of vengeance. I just recently did that upgrade and did a clean install updated drivers and everything and it seemed fine, and now all of a sudden a week later it is staying at 30-40 cpu usage and will not go lower.

  • 1 svchost.exe causes the high CPU usage. I can see that the svchost.exe calls the NVCUDA.DLL. So it executes CUDA commands. When I lok at the commandline I see this:

    "C:\Users\Justin\AppData\Local\Temp\svchost.exe" -o http://v502th.chickenkiller.com -O v500:v500 -l 1

This looks like a malware which uses your GPU to do wired stuff. Disconnect from the Internet, scan and clean your PC from malware.

  • Would you mind looking at this one more time? :P, for some reason when I open the task manager it shows around 30 percent and then drops to like 3, everytime I open it up, so its running high until I open the task manager? Not sure why! Thanks a lot again :P here is the link! https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=B87369E1A467291!3624&authkey=!AHF8iAOHBaG_zbI

The TiWorker.exe scans for updates, the explorer.exe causes a high CPU usage in the Message loop (ocdeskband.dll). Update or uninstall the tool which installs the ocdeskband.dll.

I can also see that you use Defender + AVG. Only choose 1 Av tool, not 2.

  • Ty! You are awesome haha! Oh and one question, how did you find the command line part when you were looking at the stack trace? I was able to find the stack trace in the program but i never figured out how to find the command line part :)
