Tracking Protection Lists Not Updating in IE10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone know why Internet Explorer 10 Tracking Protection Lists don't automatically update anymore?

I was looking at the Tracking Protection Lists I have installed and noticed that they haven't updated since I installed Windows 8.  When I look at the TPL's on the sites they came from, they are showing as modified recently, but for some reason Internet Explorer doesn't seem to be automatically downloading the updated lists.

  • I can confirm the IE10 April 2013 Updates finally fixed this issue.

I can confirm that the TPL is updated automatically again with IE10 on Windows 8 x32.
The bug is described in KB2833084 and was apparently fixed by the April 2013 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 10.

  • I'm afraid the TPL won't be updated automatically by IE, you need to remove it from TPL and add it into again.

    Thanks.

Paid support?  Really?  So I have to pay to report Microsoft bugs?

It's clearly not supposed to be that way, even the dialogue box says that Internet Explorer is supposed to check for updates once a week.

LOL. I can't help it. probably he mistaken it as something else.

Otherwise, is ms planning to make IE a paid product? Wow, that can rake in lot of $$$ . or everyone will just switch to free browser.
