Mapping a disk at logon time while accessina a Windows server 2012 R2 RDS server and using subst

  • I need to make all the user logging on via RDS map a network drive and then map directories inside the network drive as disks.

I created a simple .cmd and assigned it as logon script via Group Policy to all the users.

    The script looks like:

    net use z: \\servername\share
    subst o: x:\disk_o
    subst p: x:\disk_p
    subst q: x:\disk_q

After logging on users don't see disk Z: in Explorer but if they use cmd they can access it by typing C:.

Users don't see the other disks.

I strongly suspect that I am not using the right procedure, but I can't figure what procedure to use.

    Can anybody please help?
