Spell Check Not Working

I have Microsoft Office 2007 and my spell check is not working in any application. I have tried it multiple times in each application and it runs but doesn't correct obviously misspelled words. I have tried using the repair method from the CD but it doesn't work. Any help is much appreciated.

i'm having the same problem and have even reinstalled it per, pay by the minute advice. and still nothing. i can't help but believe that i have messed up one of the settings. but they have gone through all that with me also. even the person giving me the advice was not able to turn his spell check off by following the directions. i wish i knew what was up. this thing cost me a lot more than i care to waste.
