How to run R scripts on Azure and publish diagrams as a webapp RRS feed

I'm new to Azure ML / Microsoft R and I'm looking for a solution where my non-dev colleague can run some R scripts on our Azure SQL Server data and publish the results on a front-end on which our customers can log in.

Is this even possible? I saw something about web services. But then I need to create a custom web app that will consume the web service and write my own code to show diagrams and table data, right?

I'm looking for a web version of RStudio Shiny.

Hopefully somebody can help me with this starters questions.

  • I've got some useful links at my other post: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/f8e8ca83-7c72-4aa2-b770-63fc79d93ee4/first-time-user-how-to-use-the-plots-made-with-r-in-a-web-page?forum=MachineLearning

It seems rather complicated to just get a simple plot result on a website. But we'll be trying it.
