Container hostname is the same for all containers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Seems like this was noticed by someone over at the docker forum: https://github.com/docker/docker/issues/21762

Each container started has the same host name: WIN-DE6U4068NAF

The COMPUTERNAME environment variable is different for each container (it's the container id?) but that doesn't resolve to the right IP address outside the container.

    Am I missing something?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

Regarding the Windows Container based issue, it is better for you to ask help in our Windows Container forum.

I noticed that you have posted a thread in that forum. Hope you could get answers there.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,
