How to hide Available templates in Word 2010 RRS feed

    Hi,

    We have a requirement to only allow users to crete new documents from our in-house templates.

    Is there a way to hide the office.com templates section and the home section (blank, blog, etc.) in the backstage and only show our templates?

    Hi Martin

    This topic would be better asked in the TechNet forums that handle IT Administration questions. If it can be done, then you'd need a group policy of some sort...

    I can move your question to TechNet, but it would help to know which version of Word is involved, first, so that I can put it in the correct forum there.

    Other than that, the only possibility would be to disable the built-in command and substitute a UI of your own making.

    Thanks Cindy.

    Please move the post to TechNet - we are using Word 2010 - great!

    We have already tried hiding the built-in 'New' command and providing our own UI but we lose out on Preview functionallity etc.
